3 TIPS FOR NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES

First off, congrats! What a huge moment to celebrate.  Now the wedding planning begins.  I cannot tell you how many times couples tell me they either have no idea what they need to do when, or they simply don’t even know what they want to make their day the best ever. So here are a few tips I have for you to help make your wedding planning process a bit easier.

  1. Enjoy the engagement. This is such a huge milestone! I’m sure you’ve heard it before and will hear it again, but enjoy the engagement. There is truly no other feeling like the newly engaged emotions and feelings! (I’m sure you get it now that you’re engaged). Depending if you’re the type of bride that has had her dream wedding planned since she was five or you aren’t too sure what you want for your day-be sure to take a moment to breathe and enjoy the ride.
  2. Utilize your resources. One of your first things on your wedding planning list is likely securing your venue, date, and photographer.  Be sure to utilize your resources and often times your vendors are the best resource for you. I have a very long list of vendors I’ve personally worked with and that I love and can guarantee you will love too.
  3. Make it about you. This is probably my most important tip for you. Your day is for you and your partner-no one else.  Make it about you and embrace what you love.  If you love cheesecake or pie instead of the traditional cake-go for it.  Or maybe you want to walk down the aisle together to start your journey.  Whatever it may be,  embrace the things you love and it’ll make your day that much more memorable.
